DUTCH GOVERNEMENT INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR FM/MW FREQUENCIES

The Dutch government has invited parties interested in using one of the remaining unallocated regional FM and mediumwave frequencies in the Netherlands to register their proposals by 30 October. The plan is to use the same system of comparative applications that was used for the national licences in 2003. It is intended to begin the licensing process before the end of 2007.
There are 12 FM and four mediumwave frequencies available.

The mediumwave details are:

Heinenoord 828 kHz 20 kW directional (day)/5 kW ND (night)

Almere 1224 kHz 40 kW directional (day)/20 kW ND (night)

Echt 1035 kHz 10 kW directional (day/night)

Amsterdam 1557 kHz 1 kW ND (day/night)
