OLD QSL. RAI'S LONG WAVES, 189 KHz

 

Per molti anni la RAI ha trasmesso anche sulla banda delle onde lunghe, sulla frequenza dei 189 KHz, dal sito di Caltanissetta - S. Anna da cui venivano diffuse anche trasmissioni in onde medie e corte.Il trasmettitore della potenza di 25 KW era utilizzato sia per la ritrasmissione dei programmi nazionali che per la diffusione di un notiziario in lingua araba per il Nord Africa. Le trasmissioni in onde lunghe sono cessate il 9 agosto 2004 ma contrariamente ad altre realtà il traliccio alto ben 286 metri non è stato abbattuto ed è diventato di proprietà comunale insieme all'area circostante e gli immobili di pertinenza con l'intenzione di sviluppare un parco pubblico. Questa è una cartolina QSL degli anni 90 con la conferma di un ascolto della stazione.

 

For many years RAI also transmitted on the long wave band, on the 189 KHz frequency, from the Caltanissetta - S. Anna site from which medium and short wave transmissions were also broadcast. The 25 KW power transmitter was used both for the retransmission of national programs and for the dissemination of a news program in Arabic for North Africa. Long wave transmissions ceased on 9 August 2004 but, unlike other situations, the 286 meter high pylon was not demolished and became municipal property together with the surrounding area and the relevant properties with the intention of developing a park public.
