Al terzo rintocco del Big Ben, alle 15.00 GMT, BBC Radio 4 ha mandato in onda il consueto messaggio di Natale della Regina Elisabetta al Commonwealth. Sei minuti dopo il World Service della BBC ha trasmesso il messaggio attraverso il relay di Kranji-Singapore a destinazione dell'Asia e dell'Oceania. Ovviamente il messaggio รจ stato ritrasmesso sin TV, attraverso la rete satellitare e internet, ma a noi appassionati di radio non poteva sfuggire l'occasione di seguire questo evento attraverso il nostro mezzo di comunicazione preferito ed ecco quindi lo stesso messaggio registrato sia sulle onde lunghe dei 198 KHz che sull'onda corta di 7485 KHz.

On the third stroke of Big Ben, at 3pm GMT, BBC Radio 4 aired Queen Elizabeth's customary Christmas message to the Commonwealth.
