RADIO MONTE CARLO. VINTAGE STICKER

 

Premetto che non sono un collezionista di adesivi. Non mi sono mai dedicato alla ricerca sistematica di questi gadget ma nel corso di lunghi anni di radioascolto mi è capitato di entrare in possesso  di un centinaio di esemplari,  tenuti più o meno alla rinfusa.  Qualche tempo fa ho deciso di raccoglierne alcuni in un quadro poster per la mia modesta "parete dei trofei" e altri in un raccoglitore. Oggi invece rimettendo in ordine nella mia collezione di cartine geografiche me ne è capitata una sotto mano sulla quale in altri tempi segnavo con un pennarello le nazioni che riuscivo ad ascoltare in radio (ma questa sarà l'oggetto di un prossimo post). Attaccato con del nastro adesivo ai bordi della cartina c'era questo adesivo di Radio Monte Carlo risalente, presumo, alla fine degli anni 70. Se non ricordo male RMC in quel periodo trasmetteva sui 701 KHz e rispose con una lettera (purtroppo perduta) e qualche adesivo. Alcuni li regalai ad amici che li mettevano sulle auto (allora usava cosi), mentre questo, finì sulla mappa degli ascolti saltando fuori a più di 40 anni di distanza. 

I'm not a sticker collector. I have never dedicated myself to the systematic research of these gadgets but in the course of long years of radio listening I have come into possession of more or less a hundred kept more or less in bulk. Some time ago I decided to collect some of them in a poster painting for my modest "trophy wall" and others in a binder. Today, however, tidying up my collection of geographical maps, I came across one on which in other times I used to mark with a marker the nations I could hear on the radio (but this will be the subject of a future post). Attached with tape to the edges of the map was this Radio Monte Carlo sticker dating back, I assume, to the late 70s. If I remember correctly RMC was broadcasting on 701 KHz at that time and replied with a letter (unfortunately lost) and some stickers. Some I gave to friends who put them on cars (that was the custom at the time), while this one ended up on the ratings map popping up more than 40 years later.
