SAQ, GRIMETON RADIO SPECIAL BROADCAST FOR WORLD RADIO DAY 2023

 

Vi proponiamo la trasmissione radiotelegrafica della SAQ, Grimeton Radio da Verberg, Svezia. La trasmissione è stata diffusa attraverso l'alternatore di Alexaderson operante da quasi un secolo sui 17.2 KHz ed oggi inserito nel patrimonio mondiale dell'umanità dall'UNESCO. Il trasmettitore viene attivato in alcune occasioni particolari nel corso dell'anno. La trasmissione di oggi è stata diffusa in concomitanza della giornata mondiale della radio 2023.

We bring you the radio broadcast of SAQ, Grimeton Radio from Verberg, Sweden. The transmission was spread through the Alexaderson alternator which has been operating for almost a century on 17.2 KHz and is now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The transmitter is activated on some special occasions during the year. Today's broadcast was broadcast in conjunction with World Radio Day 2023.

Il viaggio di Papa Francesco in Africa ha avuto il merito di riportare all'attenzione dell'opinione pubblica lo Stato del Sud Sudan, territorio a prevalenza cristiana nato dalla secessione dalla Repubblica del Sudan dove la religione prevalente è quella musulmana , nel luglio 2011. L'indipendenza è giunta al termine di decenni di dispute , rivendicazioni e guerre con il governo di Khartoum. Dopo l'indipendenza il Sud Sudan è stato investito da una lunga guerra civile scoppiata tra le etnie del nuovo Stato per il controllo del territorio. Le lotte intestine sono terminate nel 2020 e la visita del Papa vuole essere il suggello a un difficile percorso di riconciliazione. La Radio Vaticana sta dando un'ampia copertura al tour del Papa nell'Africa centro orientale e in questo momento sta trasmettendo in diretta da Juba l'incontro con i fedeli.

Pope Francis' trip to Africa had the merit of bringing the state of South Sudan, a predominantly Christian territory born of the secession from the Republic of Sudan where the prevailing religion is Muslim, back to public attention in July 2011. L independence has come to an end after decades of disputes, claims and wars with the Khartoum government. After independence, South Sudan was hit by a long civil war that broke out between the ethnic groups of the new state for control of the territory. The internal struggles ended in 2020 and the Pope's visit is meant to be the seal on a difficult path of reconciliation. Vatican Radio is giving extensive coverage to the Pope's tour of Central and Eastern Africa and is currently broadcasting the meeting with the faithful live from Juba.

Da qualche anno quella che fu la più popolare delle radio pirata off shore degli anni 60, Radio Caroline, opera regolarmente sulla frequenza in onda media dei 648 KHz riscuotendo l'interesse degli appassionati di radioascolto di tutta Europa. La stazione si ascolta molto bene nel nord Europa e con relativa facilità nell'Italia settentrionale, ma a sud di Roma il discorso si complica perchè  la frequenza è costantemente occupata dalla slovena Murski Val e bisogna avere la pazienza del momento favorevole della propagazione per ascoltare il segnale d'oltremanica. Lo scorso 19 novembre, per circa 20 minuti, si è verificata una di queste aperture, una buona occasione per inviare un rapporto di ricezione inviato via email all'indirizzo rcsg@radiocaroline.co.uk e ricevendo conferma in due mesi e mezzo a firma di Nigel Pearson. 

For some years now what was the most popular of the off shore pirate radios of the 60s, Radio Caroline, has been operating regularly on the medium wave frequency of 648 KHz, attracting the interest of radio listening enthusiasts from all over Europe. The station can be listened to very well in northern Europe and with relative ease in northern Italy, but south of Rome the matter becomes more complicated because the frequency is constantly occupied by the Slovenian Murski Val and you need to have the patience for the favorable moment of propagation to listen to the overseas signal.
