La Repubblica di Palau si estende su circa 200 piccole isole ubicate a circa 500 Km a est delle Isole Filippine nella macroregione della Micronesia. Ex possedimento statunitense è formalmente indipendente dal 1994. Da diversi decenni, sia pur con diverse denominazioni, da questa micro nazione opera una stazione religiosa in onde corte fondata da George Otis Sr. per l'organizzazione religiosa "High adventure ministries". Proprio sotto questa denominazione, negli anni '90 ho ascoltato per la prima volta e ricevuto una QSL di conferma da questo country. Successivamente la stazione ha assunto la denominazione di T8WH (T8 è il call radioamatoriale di Palau) come emanazione della WHRI, anch'essa confermata, mentre negli ultimi anni la stazione ha assunto la denominazione di "Hope Radio" che sono riuscito ad ascoltare una sola volta nel 2022. Nei mesi scorsi è stata più volte segnalata, anche in Italia, sulla classica frequenza dei 9965 KHz. Per questioni logistiche non sono riuscito ad ascoltarla, ma questo improvviso interesse per la stazione mi ha ricordato di quel vecchio ascolto e cosi, sperando nella benevolenza degli attuali gestori, nel mese di novembre 2024 ho inviato un rapporto di ricezione di quel vecchio ascolto attraverso il form presente sul loro sito e qualche tempo dopo ho ricevuto un messaggio da parte della V/S Deb Anderson dalla sua email personale, che ovviamente ometto, con una richiesta di chiarimento sulla data del rapporto. Nella risposta le ho spiegato che si trattava di un vecchio ascolto caduto nel dimenticatoio, spiegando che mi sarebbe piaciuto avere una conferma della stazione anche con l'attuale denominazione non ricevendo alcuna risposta. Circa dieci giorni fa, con scarse speranze, ho scritto di nuovo chiedendo se occorressero altre delucidazioni e questa mattina ho ricevuto una email con QSL elettronica allegata. Per gli interessati questo è un segmento dell'ascolto confermato.

For several decades, albeit with different names, a religious shortwave station founded by George Otis Sr. for the religious organization "High adventure ministries" has been operating from this micro-nation. It was under this name that in the 90s I heard for the first time and received a confirmation QSL from this country. Subsequently, the station took the name of T8WH (T8 is the amateur radio call of Palau) as an emanation of the WHRI, also confirmed, while in recent years the station took the name of "Hope Radio" which I managed to listen to only once in 2022. In recent months it has been reported several times, even in Italy, on the classic frequency of 9965 KHz. For logistical reasons I was unable to listen to it, but this sudden interest in the station reminded me of that old listening and so, hoping for the benevolence of the current managers, in November 2024 I sent a reception report of that old listening through the form on their site and some time later I received an email from Deb Anderson from her personal email that I obviously omit, with a request for clarification on the date of the report. In the reply I explained that it was an old listening that had fallen into oblivion, explaining that I would have liked to have a confirmation of the station even with the current name, receiving no response. About ten days ago, with little hope, I wrote again asking if further clarifications were needed and this morning I received an email with an electronic QSL attached.
