AUDIO FILES, REMEMBERING RADIO ST. HELENA 11092,5 KHz



Per molti anni Radio St. Helena, emittente della piccola isola dell'Oceano Atlantico Meridionale, famosa per aver "ospitato" Napoleone Bonaparte nei suoi ultimi anni di vita, ha effettuato una trasmissione annuale in onde corte sulla frequenza di 11092,5 KHz in SSB. L'evento era conosciuto come "Radio St. Helena day". La trasmissione veniva effettuata in date variabile negli ultimi mesi dell'anno ed era attesa dagli appassionati di radioascolto in tutto il mondo. Come tutte le belle tradizioni anche questa a un certo punto è stata interrotta. Nei miei archivi ho ritrovato queste registrazioni relative alla trasmissione dell'anno 2008.


For many years Radio St. Helena, broadcaster of the small island of the South Atlantic Ocean, famous for having "hosted" Napoleon Bonaparte in his last years of life, has carried out an annual transmission in short wave on the frequency of 11092.5 KHz in SSB . The broadcast was carried out on variable dates in the last months of the year and was expected by radio listening enthusiasts all over the world. Like all beautiful traditions, this one too was interrupted at some point. In my archives I found these recordings relating to the broadcast of the year 2008.

RADIO ST. HELENA 1 Alle ore 21.10 UTC, con le antenne orientate verso l'Europa il segnale di Radio St. Helena, sia pure con un S=2 e con molto rumore di fondo, si ascolta anche quì ad Anagni. Vi proponiano una clip audio con l'identificazione della stazione.
