Dear colleague:
It is a great pleasure for us to write to you, to present our most affectionate greetings on behalf of Radio Club Traiguén Chile CE6TRA. We are sending this letter to express our deepest gratitude for the participation in the 119 years of the Foundation of the town of Capitán Pastene in southern Chile by settlers from Italy. Said event was held in the month of March of this year and its main objective was to make the town and its history known to the entire world. With great satisfaction, we inform you about some important milestones of the activity:
-Over 8,700 contacts (QSO) were made in different frequencies and modes during the period of commemoration activity.
-20 operators distributed in Italy and Chile were in charge of hold this event.
-27,500 were the visits received on the websites of www.qrz.com for the callsigns II4CPC, IQ4DJ, CB6CPC and CB6I.
-4 were the modes of communication used in the activity: SSB, CW, FT8 and FT4.
-The bands used were: 80, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 and 6 meters.
The written communications received in our emails and social networks, in addition to the publications on the internationally recognized DX websites, demonstrated the great interest that the activity had worldwide, receiving in many cases congratulations and requests to hold said event again next year. Finally, and as indicated in the Bases of the activity, you are sent a Certificate that accredits having contacted the radio amateur stations in commemoration of the Capitán Pastene Chile Foundation.
