Ieri mi è stata recapitata una corposa busta d'altri tempi da parte di Scandinavian Week End Radio che opera dalla località di Virrat, nella parte meridionale della Finlandia. La busta conteneva oltre la QSL con verifica della trasmissione del 7 novembre 2020, 2 adesivi, una lettera, una QSL della staziona radioamatoriale OH6SWR e opuscoli turistici sulla zona di Virrat. SWR è una emittente low power che opera solitamente nel primo fine settimana di ogni mese sia su onde corte che onde medie. Le frequenze utilizzate sono 5980/6170 KHz, 11690/11720 KHz, 1602 KHz. A queste va aggiunta la frequenza in FM dei 94,9 MHz. La programmazione è principalmente musicale nel classico formato "oldies". La ricezione non è agevole in Italia e si limita quasi sempre nel settentrione e sulle frequenze in banda 25 metri. Lo scorso 7 novembre, sia pure con segnale molto basso, sono riuscito ad ascoltarla per la prima volta nel mio QTH in provincia di Frosinone. La redazione del rapporto d'ascolto non è stata difficile visto che la programmazione era caratterizzata dalla trasmissione di molto conosciute hits degli anni 60 facilmente riconoscibili anche attraverso il forte fading.
