AUDIOCLIP, WARSAN RADIO 7750 KHz

 

Warsan Radio è un network somalo che trasmette da Baydhabo città della Somalia sud occidentale. La radio opera a livello locale in FM sugli 88.2 MHz e in onde corte sulla frequenza di 7750 KHz in modo USB coN un trasmettitore radiotelefonico mobile marittimo Icom IC-m700 riadattato con una potenza di 100-150 watt. L'antenna è una filare con quattro elementi. Grazie anche alla frequenza fuori banda questo sistema "amatoriale" permette al segnale dell'emittente di arrivare abbastanza lontano e infatti nei giorni scorsi sono state pubblicate diverse segnalazioni della stazione che personalmente avevo ascoltato una sola volta nel 2019. Ho sintonizzato la frequenza dei 7750 KHz a partire dalle 19.00 UTC ed effettivamente la stazione, anche se molto debolmente si ascoltava. L'intensità e soprattutto la qualità del segnale non erano un gran che e inizialmente ho confrontato quanto ricevuto con il kiwi sdr di Nairobi constatando che si trattava effettivamente dell'emittente somala. Ho seguito l'andamento del segnale di Warsan Radio per circa 45 minuti realizzando questi video. Per alcuni minuti, verso le 19.40 UTC il segnale è aumentato di intensità consentendo un ascolto più agevole, ma il tutto è durato molto poco, come si può sentire dalla prima dell clip audio pubblicate.

Warsan Radio is a Somali network broadcasting from Baydhabo city in southwestern Somalia. The radio operates locally in FM on 88.2 MHz and in shortwave on the frequency of 7750 KHz in USB mode with a retrofitted Icom IC-m700 marine mobile radiotelephone transmitter with a power of 100-150 watts. The antenna is a wire with four elements. Thanks also to the out-of-band frequency, this "amateur" system allows the broadcaster's signal to reach far enough and in fact in recent days several reports of the station have been published which I personally had only heard once in 2019. I tuned to the 7750 KHz frequency as of 19.00 UTC and actually the station, although very weakly listened. The intensity and above all the quality of the signal weren't that great and initially I compared what I received with the Nairobi sdr kiwi, noting that it was actually the Somali broadcaster. I followed the progress of the Warsan Radio signal for about 45 minutes making these videos. For a few minutes, around 19.40 UTC, the signal increased in intensity, allowing for easier listening, but it didn't last long, as can be heard from the first published audio.
