Nel 1932 la stazione EIAR di Bari iniziava le sue trasmissioni. Nel decennio successivo e fino al termine della seconda guerra mondiale Radio Bari divenne uno dei punti nevralgici delle telecomunicazioni italiane, prima come ponte della propaganda fascista di lingua araba verso il Nord Africa e il Medio Oriente, poi come una delle prime voci dell'Italia liberata dal regime fascista. Una storia lunga 90 anni che la sede di Bari di Raisenior, l'associazione che riunisce gli ex dipendenti RAI, ha voluto celebrare con un bel calendario del 2022, pubblicato in formato PDF, che ripercorre le tappe salienti dell'emittente dalla sua fondazione ad oggi. In ognuno dei 12 mesi viene proposta una biografia dei personaggi che hanno contribuito alla nascita e a dare lustro all'emittente, a partire dall'Ingegner Giuseppe Damascelli, il primo direttore della sede di Bari, alla scrittrice Alba de Cespedes, nome di battaglia "Clorinda", divenuta famosa per i suoi appelli alla partecipazione alla lotta antifascista. Il mese di febbraio è dedicato al maggiore dell'esercito britannico Jan Greelnees che venne posto alla direzione dell'emittente dalle autorità alleate dopo il ritiro dei tedeschi. Fu sotto la sua supervisione che l'emittente divenne un punto di riferimento per la resistenza e un laboratorio di libera espressione per intellettuali, politici e artisti. Sulle vicende di Radio Bari molto è stato scritto, sia attraverso pubblicazioni divulgative che saggi accademici, ma questo calendario è davvero una fonte di informazioni di accesso facile e immediato, con fotografie di persone e luoghi che rendono l'idea di una storia di 90 anni che ancora prosegue. Personalmente ho inviato una copia del file PDF a una tipografia di fiducia che ne ha stampato una copia da appendere e a fine anno, da collezionare.
