EIAR, VINTAGE QSL OF 1937

Alcuni giorni fa girovagando su internet ho visto che su ebay era stata messa in vendita una QSL card della stazione in onda corta dell'EIAR 2RO 3, spedita da Roma, a conferma di un rapporto d'ascolto ricevuto da New York, nei primi mesi del 1937. Visto che il prezzo di partenza non era proibitivo  ho fatto una piccola offerta di rilancio tanto per provare, sicuro che alla fine ci sarebbero state offerte più sostanziose. Invece, alla fine, con mia somma sorpresa, sono stato l'unico a fare un'offerta, evidentemente il pezzo non è cosi raro e in mattinata ho ricevuto questa suggestiva cartolina di conferma, tornata in Italia dopo quasi 80 anni. I dati di conferma del rapporto sono riportati in inglese sul frontespizio della cartolina insieme al logo dell'EIAR, il call della stazione 2RO e l'immancabile fascio littorio. Sul retro è invece riportato lo schedule delle trasmissioni destinate all'estero sulle frequenze in onda corta di 11810 e 9635 KHz. L'affrancatura è stata fatta con francobolli riportanti l'effige di re Vittorio Emanuele III e il tmbro postale recante la data del 23 febbraio 1937 è perfettamente visibile. Insomma un bell'oggetto da collezione che ricorda la prestigiosa presenza della radiofonia italiana in onda corta.

A few days ago wandering on the internet I saw that on ebay a QSL card of the EIAR 2RO 3 shortwave station had been sold, sent from Rome, confirming a listening report received from New York, in the first months of 1937. Since the starting price was not prohibitive, I made a small raise offer just to try it out, sure that in the end there would be more substantial offers. Instead, in the end, to my great surprise, I was the only one to make an offer, obviously the piece is not so rare and in the morning I received this suggestive confirmation postcard, returned to Italy after almost 80 years. The confirmation data of the report are shown in English on the title page of the postcard together with the EIAR logo, the call of the 2RO station and the inevitable fasces. The back shows the schedule of the broadcasts destined for abroad on the short wave frequencies of 11810 and 9635 KHz. The postage was made with stamps bearing the effigy of King Vittorio Emanuele III and the postal stamp bearing the date February 23, 1937 is perfectly visible. In short, a beautiful collector's item that recalls the prestigious presence of Italian radio in short wave.
